Green Cat Cabaret Tavern Sign - 1920s

Since extended his Green Cat Cabaret tavern sign contest, I decided to go ahead and do another one.  This time, The Green Cat opens up upon a world in the 1920s; maybe a sort of speakeasy.  I had an awful time trying to find free stock filigrees or other art deco designs that I could use.  So in the end, I ended up doing everything myself.  I'm happy the way the designs on either side of the cats came out.  I don't know if they fit with the time period or not, but at least I can say I made them myself.   From far away, I think they almost look like a little person.   The cats in the middle are from Jade himself.

Should the cats be a bit lighter? Now that I look at it, they almost seem to get lost.  Any thoughts?
